Personal Development Planning

Personal Development planning is an amazing exercise of inner reflection. You first start with wanting to make changes in your life and so you think about who you are and how you can improve yourself.personal development planning

You see, as a child you were given a certain personal matrix that dictates how you feel in certain situations, what you think and how you behave and react. This pattern becomes so familiar to you that often you can’t see outside of it. You act automatically on your belief systems and thought patterns.

When you start to see that this personal matrix is making you unhappy and dissatisfied in life then you wonder WHY you were given it and wonder HOW you can change it. This is the start of self improvement.

Now, it’s important to note that you are PERFECT right now. If you think that you have imperfections, and that’s why you want to change your life, you’ll end up getting stuck in old patterns again. It’s absolutely important to realise that the personal matrix was offered to you so you can learn lessons and grow and experience life in a particular way. When you start to question about personal development planning is when you have likely completed these lesson and hence, are ready to live your life differently.

Life is an experience and it’s up to you how you want to live it. When you consciously make changes to your personal matrix you can steer your life in the direction you want to go. And that’s where personal development planning comes in handy.

STEP 1:  The most important first step to do in personal development planning is to know what you want to change in your life. Take some time to reflect on the things you are unhappy with in your personality, behaviours, attitudes, thoughts and in the life around you.  Write them down over a week’s time as different ideas may pop into your mind over time. You can always add things and change your personal development plan as you grow.

STEP 2: The next step is to observe your thought patterns with a thought diary because this will reveal your negative thoughts – and these ones will reveal deep down inside the belief patterns that keep you stuck in your patterns. I talk about this in more detail in the course. It’s really quite an extensive topic.

STEP 3: Start to steer your thoughts, attitudes and behaviours towards your goal. This step has many layers so it’s important to maintain your awareness on what you are creating in your life and what you need to change to create what you desire.

As I mentioned above the topic of personal development planning is very detailed so I encourage you to join my course and dive into all the personal development worksheets.

All the best with your personal development plan!
